Public Meetings Law Grievances
If you believe Hoodland Fire District #74 has violated a provision of Public Meetings Law, written grievances can be submitted by web form, in-person, by mail, or via email. Grievances should be sent or delivered to Fire Chief James Price, who has been designated as the person to whom a grievance may be submitted.
Process to submit a written grievance to Hoodland Fire District #74
If you are filing a public meeting complaint, the following items are required to ensure your written Grievance is properly processed and addressed:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Mailing Address
- Phone Number
- Name of Public Official you're complaining about
- Narrative (What happened? Please tell us what happened, including who caused the problem, what they did, and when it happened.)
- Supporting Documentation (if available)
Hoodland Fire District #74 accepts written Grievances in the following ways:
Written grievances can be submitted through web form, in-person, by mail, or via email. Grievances should be sent or delivered to Fire Chief James Price, who has been designated as the person to whom a grievance may be submitted.
- Web Form (below) *Recommended* - Fill out form and click "Submit"
- In Person - To submit a grievance in-person, you must submit the written notice to our front desk staff during business hours. Our office is open 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday. The address is 69634 E Hwy 26 - Welches, OR 97067.
- Mail - To submit a grievance by mail, please mail your grievance to Hoodland Fire District #74 - 69634 E Hwy 26 - Welches, OR 97067. Include "Attn: Public Meetings Law Grievance" on the envelope.
- Email - To submit a grievance via email, please email the grievance to hoodland@hoodlandfire.org and begin your subject line with "Public Meetings Law Grievance."

Hoodland Fire District #74 will respond to your grievance within 21 days.
Please be aware that your complaint will not be anonymous. The subject of any complaint is provided a copy of the complaint in its entirety, including the name of the person filing the complaint. If you do file a complaint, please be specific. Explain exactly what actions were taken, or exactly what occurred, that you believe violated the law.
