Latest information:  8/27 at 8:00 am - The Great Basin Incident Management Team 1 is in place as of 6:00 am this morning.  The fire started two days ago on 8/25 and the fire cause was lightning.  The fire is just over 900 acres as of this morning, but updated acrage should be available after last night infrared (IR) flights were completed  Due to the threat to the municipal water supply the plan is for full suppression.  Yesterday the fire was very active after the morning temperature inversion lifted and the fire is burning in timber.
